Fantastic small restaurant, serving delicious local dishes, we come here every year! Gets very busy, so I'd recommend to book in advance. Some dishes, such as the amazing Açorda de galinha, also need to be ordered in advance, so check the menu before!

I usually don't like chickpeas but on the "açorda de galinha" (a kind of bread+chicken+chickpeas soup) dish it becomes a very good balanced and tasty dish.

You have to order it in advance, but this place makes one of the best cabrito assado no forno that I have ever had. Their grilled entrecosto is also very good. Everything is very fresh. Absolutely outstanding and it's always a treat to go to this out of the way restaurant.

Lovely place in the hills around Tavira. Came about 5 years previously and this time was just as good. Tuna Algarve style and Turkey with cream and mushroom sauce. Friendly staff, good food and prices. Worth a drive off the usual routes. Would definitely recommend.

Great restaurant, service, food, everything is good. These pictures show some plates you need to reserve in advance. Some 1 day, some 3 days in advance. Closed from 4 till 18 October if I remember well.

When I'm in Tavira we normally go to Luis Prego but my Son reckoned this place was better, well he may well be right, Clams to start with with ex Bread, then everyone but me had the Dourad which looked and tasted lovely, I had the mixed Pork and Chips, basically three different cuts plus 2 chops and a Sausage, possibly wild Boar as it looked like Beef, not super tender but sublime taste wise and I love the way they cook the Chips in Olive Oil. It gets busy so you need to book, Ok the lighting is a bit bright and there was a huge telly showing the football but that seems to be the the norm in these local type restaurants, a small price to pay for such tasty and well priced food, also good service... I Highly Recommend this place.........
